Role Overview:

The Chief of Staff will act as a force multiplier to the Managing Director (MD), enabling sharper execution across strategic, operational, and financial priorities. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who combines strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and superior communication skills to orchestrate the MDs agenda across internal and external stakeholders. You will serve as the nerve center of operations, ensuring strategic initiatives are well-tracked, meetings are outcome-oriented, communication is crisp, and decisions are data-backed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive key strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

- Cross functional synergies and preparation of executive summaries.

- Draft, review, and refine presentations, board decks, investor communications, and business analyses.

- Track performance metrics, OKRs, and strategic projects for timely and data-backed decisions.

Operational Excellence:

- Streamline the CMDs workflows by structuring follow-ups, managing priorities, and ensuring deliverables across teams are met.

- Partner with functional heads (Investments, AMC, Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Compliance) to ensure coordination and accountability.

- Oversee meeting preparations - from pre-reads to post-meeting action tracking.

- Maintain operational dashboards, MIS, and reporting systems for executive visibility.

Stakeholder & Communication Management:

- Serve as the primary point of coordination between the CMD and internal/external stakeholders, investors, partners, and portfolio companies.

- Ensure clarity and timeliness in information flow across the organization.

Financial & Analytical Rigor:

- Support financial planning, business reviews, and key investment evaluations.

- Review reports and KPIs, provide insights for decision-making.

- Assist in due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and capital allocation discussions.

Key Skills & Attributes:

- Strong business and financial acumen, adept at reading P&L, balance sheets, and financial models.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills articulate, precise, and persuasive.

- Strong project management, organizational, and follow-through abilities.

- Analytical mindset with an eye for detail and data integrity.

- High emotional intelligence; able to navigate complex personalities and stakeholder dynamics.

- Agility and resilience to work in a fast-paced, founder-driven environment.

- Discretion, integrity, and a strong sense of ownership.

Qualifications:

- MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.

- 3-5 years of experience in investment management, consulting, corporate strategy, or financial services.

- Experience in a Chief of Staff, Strategy Associate, or Business Manager role is advantageous.

- Industry exposure to Private Equity, Real Estate, Investment Banking, or Structured Finance preferred.

- Candidates from adjacent industries (management consulting, corporate strategy, or financial advisory) may also be considered.
