Chief of Staff / EA to MD - NBFC The Chief of Staff (COS) at Company will be a quasi - entrepreneurial role and will work closely with Founder and Managing Director on everything from strategy and planning across all business management activities, for the portfolio companies. This is a key role that impacts all business areas and would require working with team members and leaders, both internal and external. Chief of Staff will have the ability to impact and improve decisions and processes directly, your work will increase the speed and of execution throughout Company and invested companies. The Chief of Staff role will give the incumbent the visibility to look at how a growth stage company scales and operates from the vantage point of the executive. It will also give insight into investing strategy, process and fund operations. After successful completion of two (2) years, this position is a stepping stone to either choose the investing track' with the fund or take up a business management /P&L management role with a portfolio company of interest. Roles & Responsibilities - Build working relationships across the firm and portfolio companies - Build a thorough understanding of all business management activities for the portfolio companies - Drive executive-level operations - strategic planning, business reviews, and Board meetings - Facilitate effective decision-making throughout the organization and closure of decisions. - Ability to summarize and present complex topics effectively to a broad audience. - Experience in organizing and mcross-functional projects - Any other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by the founder Required Core Competencies include: - A strong entrepreneurial drive to find root causes and solve them - a paranoia for completion. - Framework thinking & an ability to structure ambiguous & complex problems - Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable with operating in ambiguity - Experience in financial analysis and modeling. - Excellent communicator and relationship builder. - Outstanding organizational skills and close attention to detail - Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to one's work. - Proactive problem solver who demonstrates initiative and teamwork. - Strong presentation and facilitation skills. - Passion for data integrity, process definition, and continuous learning. - Results-driven, solutions-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
