
Description: We are seeking a Chief of Staff for a Global Publishing House.
Job Profile:
- Strategic Prioritization: Assist the Founder in defining, translating, and driving the companys strategic goals and priorities into actionable plans, KPIs, and deliverables.
- Operationalizing Plans: Drive the execution of cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives identified by the Founder, ensuring alignment and timely completion across all departments.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and synthesize performance data, market insights, and operational metrics to inform the Founders decision-making.
- Goal Tracking: Manage and drive the OKR/goal-setting process for the organization in partnership with leadership, ensuring accountability for key milestones.
- Leadership Team Management: Own the preparation, agenda setting, and follow-up for executive meetings, board meetings, and strategy sessions, ensuring productive outcomes and clear action items.
- Decision Filter: Serve as a critical filter and primary point of contact for external and internal requests directed to the Founder, prioritizing issues and delegating where appropriate.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement organizational and procedural improvements to enhance efficiency, speed of execution, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Budget Oversight: Work with Finance to monitor key departmental budgets and resource allocation in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Internal Communications: Draft, refine, and manage internal communications (presentations, company-wide announcements, town halls, investor updates) on behalf of the Founder.
- Act as a custodian of the company culture, reinforcing core values and ensuring organizational clarity and transparency.
- Handle confidential, sensitive, or high-priority special projects, research, and analysis as requested by the Founder.
Chief of Staff Requirements:
- Masters degree from a top-tier university
- 1 to 3 years in a prior Chief of Staff, Strategy Associate, or similar operational/strategic role reporting directly to a C-level executive (CEO, COO, or Founder) is strongly preferred.
- Can also consider ex-founders who have scaled startups
- Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze complex business problems, structure solutions, and model financial or operational outcomes.
- Proven ability to effectively manage executive time, triage priorities, and act as a representative for the Founder in internal and external meetings
- Impeccable command of written and verbal communication, capable of crafting board-level documents and delivering high-stakes messages internally.
