Join one of India's fastest-growing fine jewellery brands and play a pivotal role in shaping its product strategy and merchandising excellence.

Role Overview

As the Chief of Merchandising, you will lead the end-to-end merchandising function, crafting collections that marry creativity with commercial performance.

You'll drive category innovation, assortment strategy, inventory planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a seamless and impactful customer experience across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Planning: Lead the development of seasonal merchandise strategies and assortment plans across core categories - Gold, Diamond, Bridal, Daily Wear, etc.

- Product Vision: Guide new collection conceptualization based on market insights, trend forecasting, and consumer behavior.

- Category Management: Own category-wise performance metrics including turnover, sell-through rates, gross margins, and inventory ageing.

- Sourcing & Vendor Management: Define sourcing strategies, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure timely product readiness for stores and exhibitions.

- Go-To-Market Alignment: Work closely with Design, Marketing, and Retail teams to ensure product, campaign, and retail strategies are aligned.

- Process Excellence: Establish and standardize SOPs for merchandise lifecycle management and store-level feedback integration.

- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing merchandising team with a strong performance and innovation culture.

Candidate Profile

- 15+ years of experience in merchandising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within jewellery, luxury, or lifestyle retail.

- Expertise in Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning, assortment development, and category-level P&L ownership.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable product decisions.

- Deep understanding of jewellery consumer behavior, regional buying patterns, and competitive landscapes.

- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Willingness to travel for market visits, exhibitions, and vendor meetings.
