About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, data-driven Chief Marketing Officer to lead the brand, growth, and customer acquisition charter for a high-growth EdTech organisation. The CMO will own end-to-end marketing, drive predictable revenue growth, and strengthen our position as the most trusted career-building platform in India.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth & Revenue Leadership
- Own the marketing P&L, with responsibility for user acquisition, CAC efficiency, and profitable growth.
- Build monthly and quarterly growth forecasts; ensure predictable and scalable revenue delivery.
- Design and drive full-funnel performance marketing across Google, Meta, YouTube, affiliates, and partner channels.
2. Brand & Communication Strategy
- Define and elevate the brand positioning, messaging, and narrative for the company.
- Lead large-scale brand campaigns (offline + digital), content strategy, and PR initiatives.
- Strengthen trust and credibility in the skilling/EdTech space through outcome-focused communication.
3. Product & Customer Insights
- Drive deep understanding of consumer behaviour, motivations, and barriers across learner segments.
- Partner with Product & Academic teams to improve conversion, learning experience, and job-outcomes communication.
- Develop strategies for increasing program adoption across Tier 14 cities.
4. Digital & Performance Marketing Excellence
- Lead paid acquisition, SEO, ASO, and retention workflows.
- Build experimentation-first culture with A/B tests, funnel optimisation, landing page improvements, and creative testing.
- Improve CAC, LTV, ROAS, and drive full-funnel accountability.
5. Offline & Hybrid Expansion
- Build and scale offline/centre-led marketing for new markets.
- Set up regional marketing playbooks, hyperlocal campaigns, and experiential marketing.
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead a 20100 member marketing organisation across growth, brand, content, design, and analytics.
- Mentor high-performing leaders and set up OKR-driven culture.
- Influence cross-functional leadership as part of the executive team.
Key Requirements
Education:
MBA/PGDM
Experience:
12 - 20 years of experience in:
- High-growth EdTech / Consumer Internet / Technology / Fintech / Education
- Leading large growth and brand teams
- Running 50200 crore annual marketing budgets
Proven record in:
- Scaling user acquisition
- Reducing CAC
- Driving multi-channel campaigns
- Leading brand revamps
- Managing marketing P&L
Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in performance marketing, data analytics, storytelling, and brand strategy.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and decision-making capability.
- High bias for action, ability to work in fast-paced founder-driven environments.
- Experience in Bharat/Tier-2/Tier-3 markets is a strong advantage.
