We are seeking a visionary and data-driven Chief Marketing Officer to lead the domestic retail marketing function. As CMO, you will define and execute the overall marketing strategy to accelerate brand growth, deepen customer engagement, drive omnichannel traffic, and maximize revenue across all retail channels. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand identity and customer journey in a highly competitive and fast-evolving market. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: - Define and lead the brand and marketing strategy for the domestic retail market, aligned with business objectives. - Develop a clear go-to-market (GTM) plan for new products, store formats, digital experiences, and campaigns. - Drive omnichannel marketing initiatives across brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, mobile, and social platforms. Brand Management: - Strengthen brand equity and ensure consistency across all consumer touchpoints. - Spearhead storytelling, visual identity, and customer value proposition for domestic markets. - Lead brand repositioning or transformation if required, based on market dynamics. Customer Acquisition & Retention: - Own customer lifecycle marketing - awareness, acquisition, conversion, retention, and loyalty. - Build and scale customer engagement strategies using data, personalization, CRM, and loyalty programs. Digital & Performance Marketing: - Oversee digital marketing including paid media, SEO/SEM, social media, influencer marketing, and content. - Manage budgets, ROAS, CAC, and drive measurable campaign performance. Retail Marketing: - Design in-store activation strategies, POS branding, visual merchandising, and geo-targeted campaigns. - Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to support revenue targets and seasonal priorities. Market Intelligence & Analytics: - Leverage consumer insights, competition analysis, and market trends to inform strategic decisions. - Use data analytics tools to monitor marketing KPIs and optimize spend. Leadership & Collaboration: - Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team with deep retail and digital capabilities. - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, supply chain, finance, and operations teams. Key Requirements: - MBA or equivalent in Marketing/Business from a reputed institution. - 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with significant exposure to domestic retail markets. - Strong understanding of Indian consumer behavior across urban, tier-2 and tier-3 segments. - Proven track record in building and growing B2C brands in retail, FMCG, lifestyle, or e-commerce. - Demonstrated expertise in digital and performance marketing, data-driven decision-making, and ROI-focused campaigns. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a high-growth or transformation phase of a retail brand. - Exposure to omnichannel commerce, loyalty programs, and retail technology (POS, CRM, CDP). - Understanding of regional language marketing and local cultural nuances in India.
