Description:
Function: Engineering.
Location: MRO - BLR.
Reports to: VP - Operations.
Job Purpose:
To lead the procurement function with strategic and operational ownership. Ensures cost efficient sourcing, strong vendor performance, compliance with aviation standards, and uninterrupted supply support for maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with operational and financial goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Establish strong partnerships with OEMs, suppliers, and service providers.
- Oversee procurement budgets and monitor spending to meet financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (DGCA/EASA/FAA) and internal procedures.
- Drive adoption of ERP/MRP systems and digital procurement tools.
- Manage sourcing, tendering, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Ensure timely availability of aircraft parts, consumables, and critical components.
- Track KPIs-supplier performance, cost savings, delivery timelines, inventory turnover.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support audits.
- Continuously optimize procurement processes to reduce lead times and costs.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, logistics, quality, and IT for seamless operations.
- Engage with external partners, OEMs, vendors, and logistics providers to ensure efficient delivery of materials.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Masters degree (MBA/Supply Chain) preferred.
- 10+ years experience in procurement/supply chain.
- Experience in global sourcing and supply risk management.
- Experience with tools like SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, or equivalent procurement systems.
