Chief Investment Officer - PMS Division

Role Overview:

As the Chief Investment Officer for our PMS division, you will serve as the primary architect of our investment philosophy and strategy. You will lead the fund management team, overseeing the end-to-end investment lifecycle from research and security selection to portfolio construction and performance monitoring. This role involves close collaboration with the sales and distribution teams to articulate our investment thesis to clients, while ensuring that all discretionary portfolio management activities remain strictly aligned with regulatory mandates and internal risk frameworks. Your leadership will directly influence the firm's track record and the financial outcomes for our investors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and implement robust investment strategies across various asset classes to ensure consistent outperformance against relevant benchmarks.

- Lead the research and investment committee, providing strategic oversight on stock selection and sector allocation to drive portfolio alpha.

- Manage the discretionary portfolio management (DPMS) desk, ensuring that all investment decisions are executed with precision and in compliance with SEBI regulations.

- Mentor and develop the investment team, fostering a culture of deep fundamental research and disciplined decision-making.

- Engage with key stakeholders and high-net-worth clients to communicate market outlooks, portfolio performance, and strategic shifts in investment positioning.

- Monitor portfolio risk metrics and liquidity profiles to ensure the firm remains resilient during periods of market volatility.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale equity or multi-asset portfolios with a proven track record of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns.

- Strong analytical capabilities in fundamental research, valuation modeling, and macroeconomic trend analysis.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment strategies for diverse client audiences and internal stakeholders.

- Deep understanding of the Indian regulatory landscape, specifically concerning SEBI guidelines for Portfolio Management Services.

- Proven leadership ability to manage high-performing investment teams and drive a collaborative, research-oriented culture.

- A postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or an MBA from a premier business school, complemented by professional certifications such as CFA or CA.

- Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, on-site environment based in Navi Mumbai/Mumbai, maintaining high standards of professional integrity and decision-making speed.
