Role Summary

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the India Joint Venture is responsible for establishing and overseeing the end-to-end cybersecurity and information security framework for a greenfield life insurance business.

This role operates with full accountability for cybersecurity within the JV, ensuring compliance with India regulatory requirements (including IRDAI), while maintaining strategic alignment with JV Partners through structured governance, transparency, and collaborative decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

- Security Strategy & Build: Define and execute the JV cybersecurity strategy aligned to business priorities.

- Regulatory & Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with IRDAI cybersecurity, data protection, and outsourcing regulations.

- Governance & Risk Management: Establish and lead the JV cybersecurity governance framework.

- Security Architecture & Engineering: Oversee design and implementation of enterprise security controls.

- Third-Party & Ecosystem Risk: Establish a robust third-party risk management framework.

- Security Operations & Resilience: Establish Security Operations (SOC) capabilities for the JV.

- Stakeholder Management & Culture: Partner with stakeholders from the JV.

- Reporting & Assurance: Deliver regular cybersecurity reporting to JV leadership, Board, and SteerCo.
