Role Overview:

The Chief Information Officer / Head IT Infrastructure (Hospitals) role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the overall strategy, planning, and execution of IT infrastructure and operations across the organization's hospital network. This role collaborates closely with hospital administrators, clinical staff, and IT teams to ensure the seamless delivery of IT services, alignment with business objectives, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The CIO will drive innovation, enhance cybersecurity posture, and optimize IT infrastructure to support the delivery of exceptional patient care and improve overall hospital performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the organization's business goals and clinical objectives.

- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure optimal team performance.

- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable IT infrastructure, including network, servers, storage, and cloud-based solutions.

- Ensure the security and integrity of hospital data and systems through the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

- Manage IT budgets effectively, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services.

- Drive IT innovation by identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and implementing solutions that improve patient care, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.

- Collaborate with hospital administrators and clinical staff to understand their IT needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

- Oversee IT project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the availability of critical IT systems in the event of an emergency.

- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives in a complex healthcare environment.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and manage high-performing IT teams.

- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including network, servers, storage, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.

- Extensive knowledge of healthcare IT regulations and standards, including HIPAA.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with on-site presence in Mumbai.
