Chief Information Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the technology and digital transformation agenda of one of India's leading retail groups. The ideal leader will combine deep enterprise IT experience with a business-first mindset, driving innovation, scalability, and efficiency across all technology platforms and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and execute the enterprise IT and digital strategy aligned with business goals.

- Lead large-scale transformation initiatives across omnichannel retail, e-commerce, supply chain, and customer engagement.

- Oversee enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity to ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance.

- Build and execute a modern data strategy covering analytics, AI/ML, predictive insights, and data governance.

- Manage multi-vendor ecosystems and large technology programs using Agile and DevOps methodologies.

- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process automation, customer personalization, and operational efficiency.

- Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within technology teams.

- Ensure cost-efficient IT governance, ROI-driven investments, and robust service delivery.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering / IT / Computer Science; MBA or equivalent preferred.

- 15-20 years of experience in IT leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior strategic role.

- Certifications in Cloud, Cybersecurity, ITIL, or Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF) are advantageous.
