
Role :
- As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CHRO will be responsible for developing and executing the human capital strategy in alignment with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company.
- As a listed entity in the heavy engineering/power sector, the focus is on scaling operations, driving industrial excellence, building a high-performance culture, and professionalizing HR processes to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic HR Leadership & Transformation :
- Partner with the CEO and Board to define the long-term organizational design, structure, and talent strategy to support business expansion.
- Lead the HR transformation to align with the company's listed status, ensuring compliance, transparency, and best-in-class governance.
- Drive organizational change management to support automation, manufacturing excellence, and digital initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning (Scaling Focus) :
- Develop robust sourcing strategies to attract top-tier talent in engineering, design, project management, and supply chain within the power sector.
- Build a strong employer brand to attract niche talent in a competitive manufacturing landscape.
- Implement strategic workforce planning to support capacity expansion and new project sites.
Talent Management & Organizational Capability :
- Create a performance-driven culture by designing a robust Performance Management System (PMS) linked to company goals.
- Develop and implement succession planning for key leadership and critical technical roles.
- Focussing on L & D throughout the plant.
- Identify high-potential employees and create tailored development plans and career paths.
Industrial Relations (IR) & Manufacturing HR :
- Foster a harmonious and productive IR environment across all manufacturing facilities.
- Proactively manage labor relations, union negotiations (if applicable), and ensure compliance with factory acts and labor laws.
- Improve shop-floor productivity through HR interventions and training.
- Expertise in Policy Drafting & Implementation.
Compensation & Benefits (Listed Entity Focus) :
- Design and implement competitive compensation structures to attract and retain talent.
- Manage ESOP programs and executive compensation in alignment with shareholder interests and regulatory requirements.
HR Digitalization & Analytics :
- Leverage HR technology to digitize HR processes and drive decision-making through data analytics.
- Should have expertise of working & implementation of any 1 HRMS software like Workday, Oracle HRMS, SAP Success Factor, Darwin, Spine etc.
Experience & Qualifications :
- MSW/MHRM/MBA in HR/Personnel Management from a premier institute.
- 15 - 20 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Must have significant experience in Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing, Power, or Automobile sectors.
- Proven experience working in a listed company or a large, high-growth, organized manufacturing environment.
