Job Title: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)


Reports To: Group CEO / MD


Role Synopsis:


The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will be responsible for leading the HR strategy and execution across a large construction company with multiple project sites. Key Accountabilities:


1. HR Strategy & Business Alignment


- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the construction business model.


- Ensure HR policies support project-based workforce planning, talent retention, and operational efficiency.


- Drive HR transformation and digitalization for optimized workforce management.


- Collaborate with the leadership team to address labor shortages and productivity challenges.


2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning


- Develop a project-based hiring strategy for skilled and contract workforce.


- Implement efficient talent pipeline management for ongoing and future projects.


- Strengthen employer branding to attract high-caliber professionals.


- Reduce hiring time while improving recruitment efficiency and workforce retention.


3. Talent Development & Leadership Succession


- Implement leadership programs and upskilling initiatives for site managers and engineers.


- Establish succession planning frameworks for leadership positions.


- Develop specialized training programs for technical, safety, and management roles.


- Foster a learning culture through continuous skill development initiatives.


4. Industrial Relations & Compliance


- Manage large-scale labour contracts and ensure compliance with union agreements.


- Oversee labour negotiations and dispute resolution strategies.


- Ensure full compliance with construction industry labour laws and safety regulations.


- Strengthen grievance redressal mechanisms for on-site and corporate employees.


5. Performance Management & Employee Engagement


- Implement performance management systems aligned with construction KPIs.


- Strengthen employee engagement and well-being across project sites.


- Conduct regular engagement surveys and implement feedback-driven action plans.


- Drive initiatives to reduce attrition and improve project workforce stability.


6. Compensation & Benefits Optimization
