CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (CHRO)

Location: Delhi NCR

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Industry: Consumer Products

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Our client is a well-established, promoter-led consumer products company with a strong legacy, multiple manufacturing facilities, and a growing national presence.

The company is seeking an accomplished Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to partner closely with the CEO and leadership team in shaping the people agenda, driving organizational effectiveness, and building a high-performance culture across both corporate and manufacturing operations.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The CHRO will be responsible for leading the organization's people strategy, organizational transformation, talent agenda, and culture initiatives. This role requires a seasoned HR leader with deep experience across manufacturing environments, including plant HR, organizational development, leadership hiring, talent management, industrial relations, and workforce planning.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling business growth through robust people practices, leadership capability building, succession planning, employee engagement, and scalable HR processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic HR Leadership:

- Develop and execute the overall people strategy aligned with business objectives and future growth plans.

- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on organizational and people-related matters.

- Drive organizational effectiveness, workforce productivity, and culture transformation initiatives.

Talent & Leadership:

- Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and talent management programs.

- Build strong leadership pipelines across corporate and manufacturing functions.

- Design and implement robust performance management and capability-building frameworks.

Organizational Development & Transformation:

- Drive organizational design, restructuring, and change management initiatives.

- Lead culture-building programs that foster accountability, agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Strengthen employee engagement and retention strategies across locations.

Manufacturing HR & Industrial Relations:

- Oversee HR operations across manufacturing facilities and corporate offices.

- Lead industrial relations, union interactions, and labour law compliance where applicable.

- Ensure smooth workforce management while maintaining a positive employee relations environment.

Rewards & HR Operations:

- Drive compensation, benefits, rewards, and recognition programs aligned with business needs and market benchmarks.

- Strengthen HR governance, policies, systems, and compliance frameworks.

- Lead HR digitization initiatives, HR analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

Workforce Planning & Business Partnership:

- Partner with business leaders on manpower planning, workforce budgeting, and organizational capability requirements.

- Support business expansion, productivity improvement, and cost optimization initiatives through strategic HR interventions.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- 18+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.

- Prior experience as CHRO, HR Head, VP HR, or equivalent leadership role.

- Strong exposure to manufacturing and plant environments is essential.

- Demonstrated success in organizational transformation, culture building, and scaling businesses.

- Deep expertise across Talent Management, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, Performance Management, and Compensation & Benefits.

- Experience working in promoter-led organizations will be highly preferred.

- Background within FMCG, consumer products, food & beverage, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or other manufacturing-led sectors preferred.

- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent from a reputed institution preferred.
