
Role Overview:
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will serve as a strategic executive partner to the leadership team, responsible for developing and executing the global human capital strategy in alignment with the companys aggressive growth, innovation, and scaling objectives within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market.
Given the high-velocity nature of the FMCG industry, this role requires a dynamic leader capable of balancing agile talent acquisition, robust front-line labor management, corporate workforce scaling, and the cultivation of a high-performance, consumer-centric corporate culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Leadership:
- Translate the overarching FMCG business strategy into actionable HR initiatives, particularly focusing on supply chain agility, brand management scaling, and market expansion.
2. Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Velocity:
- Lead the talent acquisition strategy to rapidly source, hire, and onboard top-tier talent across diverse functionsincluding high-volume front-line sales, manufacturing/plant operations, and corporate brand management.
3. Performance Management & Culture:
- Foster a fast-paced, result-oriented organizational culture that rewards innovation, speed-to-market, and accountability.
- Revamp performance management frameworks to align with modern FMCG metrics.
4. Total Rewards & Compensation:
- Design and oversee competitive, market-mapped compensation and benefits structures that attract specialized talent while managing the labor cost dynamics typical of manufacturing and distribution environments.
5. Labor Relations & Compliance:
- Oversee industrial relations strategies across manufacturing plants and distribution centers, ensuring strong union relationships (where applicable), employee safety, and zero operational downtime.
6. Succession Planning & Leadership Development:
- Identify high-potential talent within the organization and build robust succession pathways for business-critical roles in sales, marketing, and supply chain leadership.
Required Skillset:
1. Experience:
15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role (VP of HR, HR Director, or CHRO) specifically within the FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Retail sectors.
2. Education:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An MBA or Masters degree in HR/Organizational Development is highly preferred.
3. Strategic Expertise:
- Proven track record of managing HR operations across both corporate environments and distributed workforce setups (factories, warehouses, or field sales teams).
4. Analytical Skills:
- Strong capability in leveraging HR data analytics to drive business decisions, workforce planning, and productivity optimizations.
5. Leadership Style:
- High emotional intelligence, exceptional stakeholder management, and a collaborative yet decisive leadership approach suited for a fast-moving corporate culture.
