About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, imaginative, and deeply child-centered leader to serve as our Chief Growth Officer. The CGO is the single point of leadership for MuSo's Revenue engine overseeing Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Fund Raising and Communications.
The CGO is responsible for bringing more people to MuSo, deepening their experience inside the museum, and ensuring that the learning outcomes and impact of MuSo are consistently strong.
What You'll Do
1. Lead Integrated Strategy for Experience & Growth
- Build MuSo's annual strategic plan across Marketing, Communications, Sales and Fund Raising.
- Set museum-wide goals for visitor growth, learning impact, engagement, and brand relevance.
- Ensure that every experience-exhibits, workshops, programs, floor interactions- aligns with MuSo's learning philosophy.
2. Lead Fund Raising and Partnerships
- Lead the fundraising function for MuSo
- Build partnerships across corporates and institutions for multiple revenue generation avenues.
- Build strategies for creating additional revenue streams across the fund-raising spectrum.
3. Lead Marketing, Communications & Brand
- Build MuSo's storytelling, brand voice, and digital presence.
- Ensure campaigns spark curiosity and accurately represent the museum's unique learning mission.
- Oversee creative content, brand design, social media, PR, and partnerships.
- Use data, audience insights, and trends to evolve brand strategy.
4. Lead Sales & Visitor Engagement
- Design and drive strategies for school partnerships, memberships, group visits, and repeat engagement.
- Build strong relationships with schools, parent networks, and community partners.
- Ensure feedback loops from visitors are captured and used meaningfully.
- Align pricing, programs, and communication based on audience needs.
5. Ensure Synergy Across All Experience Verticals
- Create strong collaboration between Marketing, Sales, Communications and Fund Raising.
- Ensure learning design informs marketing narratives and vice-versa.
- Align product design (programs/workshops), messaging, and delivery for coherence.
- Lead weekly rhythms, decision-making structures, and cross-functional working groups.
6. Grow, Coach & Support Teams
- Mentor vertical leads across Sales, Marketing, Communications, and Fund Raising.
- Create a culture of creativity, joy, experimentation, and child-centeredness.
- Ensure teams feel supported, challenged, and connected to the mission.
7. Champion Innovation & Learning Excellence
- Benchmark against global children's museums and learning spaces.
- Pilot new formats, play-based experiences, community programs, and exhibition linked learning journeys.
- Keep MuSo at the forefront of playful, immersive, and systems-thinking-led education.
Who You Are
- A senior leader with 10-15 years of experience in education, learning design, museums, creative industries, marketing, product, or mission-driven organisations.
- Someone who understands children, learning, play, audience engagement, and brand building.
- A person who can move fluidly between creative visioning and structured execution.
- Skilled at managing multidisciplinary teams-educators, facilitators, designers, marketers, and sales leaders.
- Strong at relationship-building, listening to diverse audiences, and making decisions anchored in purpose.
- Deeply aligned with MuSo's values of inclusion, curiosity, playfulness, and child-led change.
Educational Background
Master's/ MBA in Marketing, Communications, or related fields preferred.
