Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Role Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial direction, ensuring robust governance, and managing the overall financial health of the organization. The CFO will play a crucial role in driving sustainable growth, managing investor relations, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) and Long-Range Strategic Plans.
- Provide high-quality financial and strategic advice to the CEO and board.
- Lead the evaluation of strategic investments, M&A, and business expansion opportunities.
- Drive cost control and operational efficiency across the organization.
- Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee end-to-end Finance & Accounts operations including treasury, tax, controllership, and reporting.
- Ensure timely preparation and review of MIS reports, financial statements, and audit documentation.
- Implement systems, policies, and processes for financial governance, internal controls, and compliance.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Indian accounting standards, tax laws, regulatory guidelines, and statutory obligations (both tax and non-tax).
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors; manage board and audit committee interactions.
Capital Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, private equity firms, and other funding partners.
- Manage capital structuring, debt raising, and working capital requirements.
Cross-functional Leadership
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, operations, and commercial teams to vet contracts and investments from a financial lens.
- Drive cross-functional cost optimization and strategic decision-making.
- Represent Finance in all key leadership and cross-functional forums.
Required Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/CXO role.
- Deep understanding of the Indian telecom industry - from both operator and regulatory perspectives.
- Proven track record in driving financial performance in a competitive and capital-intensive environment.
- Hands-on experience in managing large teams, financial systems, audits, and statutory compliance.
