- The incumbent will head the Finance, Accounting, Administration, and Compliance functions of the organization. The role will encompass financial and investment strategy, system and process setup, team and partner management, and day-to-day operations. The incumbent will work closely with the Board and Executive Leadership on all matters related to financial strategy, controllership, compliance, and governance.

- The incumbent should be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance, responsible for setting up and scaling the Finance, Human Resources, Administration, and Compliance functions of the organization.

- The role will involve designing and implementing policies, processes, financial strategies, and robust risk management frameworks to support business growth and strong governance.

- The candidate should have prior experience working in startup or entrepreneurial environments, with strong exposure to private equity fund-raising, investor relations, and mergers & acquisitions.

- Deep expertise in MIS design, financial planning, and Board-level reporting is essential. The role also requires hands-on involvement in fund-raising and/or M&A due-diligence processes, working closely with investors, advisors, and senior leadership to drive strategic outcomes.

Financial Accounting & Controllership

- Financial planning and budgeting; cash flow management

- Financial reconciliation and reporting

- Procurement, contract management, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP)

- Tax, legal, and labor law compliance

- Oversight of statutory and internal audits

Business Planning & Fund-raising

- Business and program-level planning and budgeting

- Policy development and financial risk management practices

- Planning for fund-raising and long-term financial sustainability

- Assisting in fund-raising and donor conversations, leading negotiations, and deal structuring

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified CA or MBA in Finance with a minimum of 20 years of experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably in startup or entrepreneurial environments

- Proven experience in setting up and scaling systems and processes across finance, human resources, compliance, and administration

- Strong experience in business planning and strategy within entrepreneurial or growth-stage organizations
