Role Overview:
We are looking to hire a CFO who will own the companys financial strategy, with a sharp focus on treasury management and debt fundraising to support ongoing manufacturing capacity expansion. This is a hands-on, owner-facing role for someone comfortable operating in a growth-stage manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Treasury Management:
- Manage day-to-day cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity across the business
- Own banking relationships and optimize working capital cycles
- Manage surplus fund deployment and short-term investment decisions
- Set up and monitor treasury controls, MIS, and cash flow reporting for the leadership team
2. Debt Fundraising:
- Lead fundraising through debt instruments - term loans, working capital facilities, project finance for capex/capacity expansion
- Build and manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions
- Structure debt financing for manufacturing facility expansion and equipment purchase
- Manage loan covenants, compliance, and periodic lender reporting
- Coordinate credit rating exercises and support due diligence processes with lenders
3. Broader Financial Leadership:
- Own financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and MIS reporting to the founder/board
- Ensure statutory compliance - GST, income tax, ROC, and other regulatory filings
- Drive cost management and margin improvement across manufacturing operations
- Manage statutory and internal audits, and build a strong financial control environment
- Support the founder on strategic decisions - capex planning, vendor/customer credit terms, and pricing
Candidate Requirements:
- 15+ years of overall finance experience, with meaningful exposure to a manufacturing or capital-intensive business
- Demonstrated, verifiable track record of raising debt capital (please be ready to share indicative amounts and lenders when presenting profiles)
- Strong hands-on experience in treasury and cash flow management, not just oversight
- Comfortable working directly with a founder in a lean, growth-stage company setup
- Prior experience in solar, renewable energy, EPC, or infrastructure sectors is an added advantage, though not mandatory
- Age below 48 years preferred
