Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team.
- Drive business profitability, sustainable growth, and shareholder value creation.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic investments, mergers, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.
- Lead enterprise-wide financial planning and long-term capital allocation strategies.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and business plans.
- Analyze profitability by business units, plants, products, and customer segments.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve overall financial efficiency.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Consolidation:
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead financial consolidation across multiple business units and legal entities.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and statutory reporting requirements.
- Present financial reports and performance dashboards to senior management and the Board.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial close activities.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI regulations, Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Strengthen internal control systems, risk management practices, and financial governance.
Treasury & Working Capital Management:
- Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, cash flow, liquidity, and fund utilization.
- Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Develop financing strategies and negotiate with banks and financial institutions.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure, interest rate risks, and financial market risks.
- Ensure adequate capital availability for business operations and growth.
Taxation:
- Lead direct and indirect tax planning and compliance activities.
- Ensure timely filing of corporate tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
- Manage tax assessments, audits, litigation, and regulatory interactions.
- Develop tax-efficient business strategies while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Investor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Support quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and annual reports.
- Coordinate Board meetings, Audit Committee meetings, and shareholder communications.
- Ensure transparency and timely financial disclosures for listed entity compliance.
Manufacturing Finance:
- Drive finance operations for engineering/manufacturing businesses.
- Monitor plant-level financial performance, production costs, inventory valuation, and profitability.
- Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead cost control initiatives across procurement, production, logistics, and supply chain.
- Implement financial controls for capital expenditure and manufacturing investments.
SAP & Digital Finance Transformation:
- Lead finance transformation initiatives using SAP ERP and digital technologies.
- Optimize financial processes through automation and system improvements.
- Support SAP implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and process standardization.
- Improve reporting capabilities using dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
- Drive digital initiatives to enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, and audit teams.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, HR, Legal, and Sales teams.
- Build a performance-driven finance organization focused on business partnership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in listed Engineering, Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, or Heavy Engineering companies.
- Strong understanding of SEBI regulations and listed company compliance.
- Experience managing large finance teams across multiple business units.
- Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, business restructuring, and strategic investments.
- Experience driving ERP implementation and finance transformation initiatives.
- Strong exposure to investor relations and Board reporting.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
- Additional qualifications such as MBA (Finance), CMA, or CFA will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 15-24 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with significant leadership experience in Engineering, Automotive, or Manufacturing organizations.
- Proven experience leading finance operations for a listed company with expertise in financial strategy, Ind AS, SAP, treasury, taxation, compliance, investor relations, budgeting, cost control, and digital finance transformation.
