Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and driving the overall financial performance of the organization. The role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, treasury, taxation, compliance, investor relations, fundraising, IPO readiness, and corporate governance while supporting the company's growth objectives.

The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the Transformer Manufacturing, Electrical Equipment, Power Equipment, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing finance, working capital management, project costing, and capital market transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.

- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, MD, and Board of Directors.

- Drive long-term financial planning and profitability enhancement initiatives.

- Support business expansion, diversification, and investment decisions.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Monitor financial performance against budgets and strategic targets.

- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable business insights.

- Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making.

Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control:

- Oversee product costing, plant finance, inventory management, and profitability analysis.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives across procurement, production, and supply chain functions.

- Monitor raw material costs, manufacturing overheads, and operational efficiency.

- Implement systems for cost control and margin improvement.

Treasury & Working Capital Management:

- Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and treasury operations.

- Optimize working capital through effective receivables, payables, and inventory management.

- Lead debt management and capital allocation strategies.

- Ensure availability of funds for operational and expansion requirements.

IPO, Fund Raising & Investor Relations:

- Lead IPO planning, execution, and regulatory compliance activities.

- Coordinate with investment bankers, merchant bankers, auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.

- Manage fundraising initiatives, private equity investments, and debt financing.

- Build and maintain strong investor and stakeholder relationships.

Compliance, Governance & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI regulations, Income Tax, GST, and other statutory requirements.

- Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.

- Lead risk assessment and mitigation initiatives.

- Ensure successful completion of statutory, internal, and tax audits.

Financial Reporting:

- Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

- Present financial performance reports to senior leadership and Board members.

- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial reporting.

- Drive automation and digital transformation within finance operations.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, and audit teams.

- Build a high-performance finance organization.

- Establish KPIs and performance management frameworks.

- Drive talent development and succession planning.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.

- MBA Finance or equivalent qualification preferred.

Experience:

- 15-25 years of progressive finance leadership experience.

- Minimum 8-10 years in senior finance leadership roles.

- Experience in Transformer Manufacturing, Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, Power Equipment, Industrial Manufacturing, EPC, or Heavy Engineering sectors.

- Proven experience in IPO execution, fundraising, and investor relations.

- Strong exposure to plant finance and manufacturing operations.
