CFO (Manufacturing Listed Company)
You will lead the financial strategy and operations, with primary responsibility for ensuring accurate monthly/annual consolidation of group accounts, optimizing banking facilities, and managing regulatory compliance, including customs and indirect tax matters. The role bridges financial control with strategic growth, focusing on working capital efficiency and robust reporting to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Group Consolidation: Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for group companies, ensuring adherence to GAAP or IFRS.
- Audit Management: Lead internal, statutory, and tax audits, including ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting).
- Reporting: Present timely, accurate financial results to the Board of Directors, investors, and stakeholders.
- MIS & Analysis: Develop and manage MIS reports, analyzing variances between actuals and budgets to identify improvements.
2. Banking & Treasury Management
- Fundraising: Secure long-term debt/equity, private equity, or IPO preparation.
- Working Capital: Manage short-term capital, including working capital limits and consortium banking relationships.
- Trade Finance: Coordinate with banks for Letter of Credit (LC), Bill Discounting, and bank guarantees.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor bank finance costs and optimize cash flow planning.
3. Customs, Trade, & Taxation
- Customs/DGFT Matters: Manage export/import regulations, dealing with DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) and Export Promotion Councils.
- Indirect Taxes: Handle VAT, Customs Duty, and other indirect tax compliances.
- Tax Strategy: Perform tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
- Legal & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company law, SEBI (if listed), and regulatory reporting.
4. Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Budgeting: Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- ERP Optimization: Oversee SAP or other ERP implementations and enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial, currency, and operational risks.
Qualification And Experience:
1. CA First Attempt with experience of 10-15+ years of progressive financial management, with at least last 5 years in a senior leadership role.
2. Deep knowledge of consolidation, IFRS/GAAP, customs regulations, and trade finance.
3. Successful history of managing relationships with investors, board members, and external stakeholders, including experience presenting to boards and participating in earnings calls.
4. Demonstrated ability to drive strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forecasting, with proven success in implementing cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.
5. Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Accuracy of financial statements
7. Timely completion of month-end close
8. Working capital optimization
9. Zero compliance violations in customs/tax.
10. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
11. Strong leadership, negotiation skills with bankers, and strategic thinking.
