Job Title: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

Reports To: Matrix reporting to CEO & CFO

Location: Chennai

Objective: This position will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, governance, capital structure, and overall financial management of the organization (Drones Manufacturing). The role will partner closely with business leadership to drive profitable growth, optimize resource allocation, ensure robust financial controls and compliance, support fundraising and investor relations activities, and provide strategic insights to enable informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the Directors.

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities.

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management.

- Review financial performance of various businesses and suggest appropriate actions to improve return on investment.

Compliance Management:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.

- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings.

Mergers and Acquisitions:

- Lead financial due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

- Evaluate potential opportunities and provide financial analysis and recommendations.

- Develop integration plans and oversee post-merger financial activities to maximize value.

Fundraising:

- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support business growth and expansion.

- Identify potential sources of funding, including debt, equity, and alternative financing options.

- Negotiate terms and agreements with lenders, investors, and other financial partners.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

- Present financial performance and insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Strategic Planning:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for the organization.

- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

- Support business growth initiatives through financial modelling and scenario planning.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

- Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies.

Capital Management:

- Manage capital structure, including debt and equity financing.

- Optimize capital allocation to support business growth while minimizing risk and cost of capital.

Investor Relations:

- Serve as the primary liaison with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.

- Communicate financial performance, business strategy, and future outlook to external stakeholders.

Competence:

Education & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with rank holder status.

- Master's/MBA degree in Finance.

- International Finance degree preferred but not mandatory.

- 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance and around 5 years in leadership roles. Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence and integration.
