Chief Financial Officer - Jewellery Brand

Is a modern jewellery brand being built for today's India -design-led, technology-backed, and deeply human at heart. We work with lab-grown diamonds, celebrity creators, and a strong D2C engine to create jewellery that feels aspirational yet accessible. This is not a traditional jewellery business. And this is not a traditional CFO role.

Role overview:

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Experience: 14-18 years

Location: Bandra, Mumbai

The CFO is not a back-office function. You are a thinking partner to the founder, a steady hand during uncertainty, and a sharp mind during growth. We are looking for someone who understands numbers, but more importantly understands people, pressure, ambition, and the reality of building something from zero.

What You Will Really Do:

- Work closely with the founder to turn vision into financially sound decisions

- Build Ektra's financial foundation from scratch - clean, simple, scalable

- Own cash flow with discipline in a capital-intensive jewellery business

- Understand jewellery economics deeply: gold, diamonds, making, wastage, inventory turns

- Create clear unit economics and SKU-level profitability

- Prepare the company for fundraising - models, decks, due diligence, investor conversations

- Be investor-ready at all times, even when we are still figuring things out

- Ensure compliance, audits, GST, tax, and governance are tight and future-proof

- Build systems and MIS that help decisions, not just reports

- Grow and mentor a finance team as the brand scales

Who You Are:

You are someone who has seen growth - and stress - up close. You are comfortable in ambiguity and don't need perfect information to make good decisions.

You don't hide behind spreadsheets. You step into conversations.

- 10-18 years of experience in consumer, retail, D2C, jewellery, or inventory-led businesses

- Strong grasp of working capital and cash flow realities

- Experience with fundraising or investor interactions

- Startup or growth-stage mindset - hands-on, practical, involved

- High integrity and calm temperament

- Thinks like an owner, not an employee

- Working Days- 6 Mon-Sat

- Working Timings- 10am-7pm
