Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall Finance function for a large-scale Iron & Steel business. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial planning, treasury management, fundraising, IPO readiness, compliance, business strategy, and financial governance within manufacturing-driven and capital-intensive industries.
This is a leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, strategic financial planning capabilities, and the ability to partner closely with business leadership to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for the organization.
- Drive financial planning & analysis (FP&A), profitability management, and long-term business planning initiatives.
- Manage cash flow, treasury operations, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning across the business.
- Lead fundraising initiatives including IPO planning, banking relationships, debt management, and capital structuring.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation requirements, corporate governance, and financial reporting standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and complex financial transactions.
- Analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and operational performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Develop strategic financial frameworks to optimize resource allocation and business scalability.
- Collaborate closely with leadership teams on business expansion, operational planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Drive internal controls, governance practices, audit management, and risk mitigation frameworks across the organization.
- Lead and mentor finance teams while building strong financial discipline and performance-driven culture.
- Support investor relations, board reporting, and stakeholder communication initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 10-20 years of experience in finance leadership roles within the Iron & Steel industry or similar manufacturing sectors.
- CA qualification is mandatory. MBA/PGDM will be an added advantage.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, treasury, compliance, taxation, audits, and strategic finance management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing IPOs, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and large-scale financial transactions.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, cost structures, and capital-intensive business operations.
- Experience working closely with promoters, investors, banks, and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with strategic business leadership capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic and high-growth business environments.
