Chief Financial Officer
Job Description:
We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer with sharp financial & commercial acumen who can play a key strategic role and scale the Finance team, as the Company grows. The CFO will work closely with the Founders and Leadership to drive key initiatives around P&L, efficiency & other strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO based on financial performance, analysis and projections.
- Drive initiatives that improve profitability, enhance efficiency, and increase shareholder value.
- Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability across the organization.
- Drive P&L ownership & understanding among Founders & Leadership. Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs. Work closely with leaders to ideate and execute strategic plans.
- Drive continuous improvement of business metrics and communicate to improve understanding and appreciate the dynamics of the Model.
Budgeting, Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain Annual Operating plan and related financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Prepare and report monthly P&L, provide insights into financial performance, trends, and forecasts. Monitor key financial metrics and analyze variances to plan.
- Track & report project efficiency, margins, overruns. Discuss with project Partners and drive discipline in project delivery.
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company.
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
Efficient Processes:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Track and improve efficiency of the Contract to cash cycle - work towards achieving Target of reduced TAT for contracting invoicing and collections.
- Ensure accurate and efficient Procure to Pay cycle, with complete documentation & verification and timely payments.
- Manage Treasury as per Company's Investment policy.
CFO Qualifications and Skills:
- CA/ MBA Finance with 10 to 15 years of experience.
- Experience in handling end-to-end finance and compliance.
- Start-up experience preferred.
- Sound knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in corporate governance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
