- Opportunity to lead and build finance team for a highly successful well-funded start-up - Work closely with founders on various aspects related to business, operations, financials, and fundraising - Financial reporting : Provide weekly/monthly financial and management information reports, including budget vs actual. Responsible for accounting and financial systems, 100% statutory compliances, and accurate bookkeeping. Monitor the preparation and maintenance of ledgers - Taxation and audits : Monitor compliance with statutory authorities for taxation. Liaise with external, internal, and statutory auditors to ensure timely and smooth closure of financials - ERP implementation : Initiate and oversee the complete ERP implementation with SAP/Navision/Oracle, etc based on the right solution for company level requirements - Treasury management : Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions and return from the investment of idle funds - Compliances : Ensure registrations and all regulatory and statutory compliance are in place . Ensure accurate statutory reporting to relevant authorities and related regulatory guidelines of Corporate law, GST, TDS, Labour laws, etc. Ensure legal and licensing compliances with periodic scanning of business model - A primary point of contact for banking relationships : Strike alliances with leading banking and financial institutions for Nodal account operations, marketplace operations, etc - Manage due-diligence, and funding related documentation for large fundraising events Requirements : - Chartered Accountant (C.A.) with an MBA/CS would be preferred - Experience of managing Financial controller role for a start-up that had raised beyond Series B - Well-versed in the digital economy and the start-up world; should have worked with a start-up, been an entrepreneur or worked with a consulting firm in the B2B/B2B2C/Marketplace domains - Should have independently handled monthly MIS, auditing process (both internal and external), and have a deep understanding of accounting standards - Candidates should have a working knowledge of the operations of the marketplace model, nodal banking operations, accounting, and reconciliations with several payment gateways. - Excellent analytical skills, motivated, hardworking and self-driven leader
