Job Description:
Chief Financial Officer (CFO):
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for the overall financial health, strategy, governance, and long-term financial planning of a beverage manufacturing organization. The role encompasses financial management, business partnering, risk management, compliance, fundraising, cost optimization, and stakeholder engagement to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead long-term financial planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation processes.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business expansion, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to statutory, taxation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits, financial controls, and regulatory filings.
Cost Management & Profitability:
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Conduct detailed margin, cost, and profitability analysis by product category and business segment.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements and enhanced financial performance.
Treasury & Capital Management:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Optimize capital structure and oversee debt management, fundraising activities, and capital investment decisions.
- Evaluate and monitor capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects to ensure optimal returns.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
- Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory levels, and cash conversion cycles.
- Ensure adequate liquidity to support ongoing operations and future growth initiatives.
- Implement strategies to improve working capital efficiency and cash generation.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.
- Manage exposure to foreign exchange, interest rate fluctuations, and other financial risks.
- Strengthen internal controls and enterprise risk management frameworks.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Initiatives:
- Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation assessments, transaction structuring, and post-integration activities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Leadership & Technology:
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams.
- Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage ERP systems, financial technologies, and data analytics to enhance decision-making and process efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary financial liaison for investors, auditors, regulators, lenders, and board members.
- Communicate financial performance, business outlook, and strategic priorities to key stakeholders.
- Support corporate governance and board-level decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred; MBA (Finance) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
- Prior experience within manufacturing, consumer products, FMCG, or beverage industries preferred.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain finance, cost management, and business partnering.
