We are seeking a strategic and seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to steer our financial trajectory. As a leading player in the payment gateway ecosystem, we require a leader with deep roots in the BFSI sector (preferably Payments) who can balance aggressive growth with fiscal discipline. You will be a key architect of our financial strategy, overseeing everything from high-stakes fundraising and treasury management to product monetization and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Treasury & Capital Management
- Treasury Management: Oversee corporate liquidity and manage the investment of capital to ensure optimal returns while maintaining necessary operational buffers.
- Capital Allocation: Direct the deployment of funds across various business units to maximize ROI and support scaling efforts.
2. Financial Planning & Performance (P&L)
- P&L Ownership: Manage the end-to-end Profit and Loss statement, driving revenue growth strategies and rigorous cost optimization.
- FP&A & Budgeting: Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team to deliver precise forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range financial modeling.
- Business Finance: Partner with department heads to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency.
3. Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Capital Raising: Lead debt and equity fundraising initiatives, managing the entire lifecycle from valuation and due diligence to closing.
- Investor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for investors and the Board, providing transparent and data-driven reporting on company health.
4. Product Monetization & Growth
- Monetization Strategy: Collaborate closely with Product Teams to design and implement pricing models, fee structures, and new revenue streams for payment products.
- Commercial Support: Evaluate the financial viability of new features and market expansions.
5. Risk, Compliance & Legal
- Governance: Mitigate financial risks and ensure the organization adheres to the stringent regulatory requirements of the payments industry.
- Legal Oversight: Manage the legal aspects of finance, including contracts, licensing requirements, and corporate secretarial matters.
- Audit: Coordinate internal and external audits to maintain the highest standards of financial integrity.
6. Core Financial Operations
- FinOps: Streamline daily financial operations including merchant settlements, reconciliations, and automated billing cycles.
- Payroll & HR Finance: Oversee the payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax laws.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a significant portion spent in the BFSI or Fintech sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the payments landscape (e.g., MDR, settlement cycles, nodal accounts, and regulatory frameworks).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading large finance teams and partnering with C-suite executives to drive business strategy.
- Fundraising Acumen: Demonstrated success in securing funding rounds or managing complex capital structures.
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or MBA in Finance from a premier institution.
