KEY FUNCTIONAL THRUSTS:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses to the Board.
- Monitor financial health and risk exposure, providing strategic recommendations.
- Develop annual budgets and oversee financial forecasting.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize financial performance.
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee direct and indirect taxation, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations.
- Manage audits, liaise with external auditors, and handle tax assessments.
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory financial requirements.
- Develop and oversee a robust Management Information System (MIS) for financial decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and business intelligence to support strategic planning.
- Optimize working capital, cash flow, and investment decisions.
- Manage banking relationships, fundraising, and investment strategies.
- Negotiate with financial institutions for loans, credit facilities, and other financial instruments.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Chartered Accountants with minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, cost management, taxation, and corporate finance.
- Experience managing multiplication teams with approx 8-10 direct reportees
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership and the Board.
