A well-established, rapidly growing engineering and professional services organization is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team.

Location: Pune Warje / NH4

Organization Size: 500+ employees

Revenue: ~70 Cr

International business: Significant exposure, with the majority of business coming from US markets

Established in 2004, the organization has a team of 500+ professionals across Pune, Solapur, and Sambhajinagar, with revenues of approximately 70 Cr and a strong international business, particularly in the US market. The company provides civil/structural engineering consultancy services, with a strong focus on BIM and engineering solutions for international clients.

The CFO will play a critical role in helping the organization move to its next phase of growth, working closely with the founders and taking ownership beyond traditional finance.

What will make this role interesting?:

This is not a pure Finance Controller / Accounts role.

The CFO will be expected to:

- Partner closely with the founders on business strategy, growth and profitability

- Drive financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and MIS

- Evaluate the long-term profitability of clients, projects and business segments

- Identify opportunities for pricing improvement, cost optimization and margin enhancement

- Strengthen cash flow, working capital, receivables and financial controls

- Oversee audit, taxation, compliance, contracts and risk management

- Provide strategic insights to support international business and expansion

- Lead and integrate key corporate functions including Finance, HR, IT, Administration, Procurement and Legal/Compliance

- Build systems and processes that allow the founders to delegate effectively and focus on growth

- Bring greater financial discipline, governance and scalability to a mid-sized, entrepreneurial organization

- The CFO will report directly to the Co-Founder and will work closely with the senior leadership team.

We are looking for:

- CA, with an MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification

- 18 to 25 years of progressive leadership experience

- Strong experience as a CFO / Finance Leader in a services / professional services organization

- Experience in engineering consultancy, AEC, EPC, infrastructure or similar businesses would be highly relevant; services sector experience a must.

- Exposure to international clients / overseas business, particularly the US, would be an advantage

- Strong understanding of profitability, pricing, forecasting, working capital and business performance

- High level of integrity and commercial acumen

- Someone comfortable working in a mid-sized, founder-led organization

- A hands-on, strategic leader who can build systems while remaining close to the business
