SUMMARY

As the first CFO at the firm- you will build and own the financial architecture of a business preparing for its most transformative chapter. The company has been growing at a phenomenal pace- 30-40% revenue growth YOY in the last 3 years. To maintain & accelerate this momentum they require a CFO with financial acuity and business acumen. The person would be tasked with balancing growing revenues with tighter controls and scrutiny as the company is not only raising funds to achieve its vision but also plans an IPO in the next 3 years.

Location- Gurgaon / HQ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting & Control

- Own the complete accounting function - P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow - IndAS compliant

- Establish and enforce robust internal controls framework and SOPs

- Lead statutory audits, tax compliance (Direct & Indirect),

- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, treasury management, and working capital optimization

- Ensure timely MIS reporting - monthly, quarterly, and annual close within defined SLAs

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

- Drive annual budgeting, multi-year financial modelling, and rolling forecast cycles

- Work with head of Strategy to Build a best-in-class FP&A capability that translates business strategy into financial outcomes

- Partner with business unit heads/BD Head on pricing, project economics, and margin improvement

- Develop KPI frameworks and dashboards that give the CEO real-time visibility into performance

Investor Relations

- Build and manage the investor relations function from scratch

- Manage existing investor communications and reporting obligations

- Cultivate relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and PE/VC funds for funding

Fund Raising & Strategic Finance

- Lead all capital-raising activities - equity rounds, structured debt

- Evaluate and negotiate deal structures for acquisitions, JVs, and strategic partnerships

- Manage banking relationships

- Provide financial diligence support for M&A activity aligned to inorganic growth strategy

Corporate Governance & IPO Readiness

- Upgrade financial reporting to be public-company standard - Ind AS, SEBI LODR, and ICDR compliant

- Lead Board, Audit Committee, and Risk Committee reporting;

- Manage relationships with auditors, legal counsel, investment bankers, and rating agencies

- Where required - Drive ERP/financial systems upgrade and ensure data integrity across the enterprise

PERSON PROFILE

- CA with at least 15 years post qualification experience

- Excellent Communication skills

- Experience in all aspects of finance in a leadership role

- Demonstrated expertise in Funding & Investor relation management

Good to have

- Executing an IPO and/OR a major fund raise

- Prior experience in an SAAS/Deep Tech/IT Product
