Chief Financial Officer - D2C Startup

Position Name - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location - Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & Leadership:

- Drive financial strategy aligned with growth and profitability goals

- Partner with founders and leadership for strategic decision-making

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

Fundraising & Investor Management:

- Lead equity/debt fundraising and investor relations

- Manage due diligence, financial modelling, and deal structuring

- Prepare board decks, MIS, and investor reports

Financial Operations & Governance:

- Oversee accounting, taxation, compliance, and audits

- Establish strong financial controls and risk management

- Build scalable finance processes and systems

Business Finance & Performance:

- Drive unit economics, pricing, and margin optimisation

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and profitability

- Partner with business teams on growth and cost efficiency

Team Leadership & Process Excellence:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team

- Drive automation and process improvements

Qualifications & Experience:

- 10-18 years of experience in finance, including leadership roles

- Prior experience in D2C / e-commerce / consumer startups preferred

- Proven track record in fundraising and investor management

- Strong understanding of unit economics and scaling businesses

- CA / MBA (Finance) preferred
