We're Hiring | Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Gurgaon

We're looking for a seasoned finance leader (15-20+ years of experience) who has been part of an IPO journey in a startup ecosystem and also brings a strong foundation in auditing from one of the Big 4 firms.

This is a critical leadership role that requires someone who can combine financial strategy, governance, and execution excellence - and who has navigated the fast-paced, high-growth environment of a startup gearing up for or successfully completing an IPO.

As the CFO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, compliance, fundraising, and operational efficiency. You will partner with the CEO, board, and investors to fuel sustainable growth while ensuring strong governance and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with business growth and expansion plans.

- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

- Drive profitability analysis, unit economics, and pricing strategies relevant to the EdTech model (B2C/B2B/SaaS).

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

- Lead fundraising initiatives (equity, debt, venture capital) and manage relationships with investors.

- Prepare due diligence reports, pitch decks, and financial models for funding rounds.

- Ensure transparent and timely investor reporting, board presentations, and MIS.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure statutory compliance with GST, Income Tax, FEMA, ROC, and other regulatory frameworks.

- Establish strong internal financial controls (IFC/ICFR) and risk management processes.

- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and legal advisors for audits, filings, and compliance.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management:

Manage working capital, cash flows, treasury operations, and foreign exchange exposure.

- Optimize capital structure and ensure adequate liquidity to meet growth requirements.

- Oversee vendor payments, receivables, and treasury investments.

Business Partnering & Leadership:

- Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to enable data-driven decisions.

- Lead finance, accounts, and compliance teams; mentor and scale finance talent.

- Implement ERP/finance automation systems to enhance efficiency.

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant / CPA / MBA (Finance) with 12-18 years of post-qualification experience.

- Prior experience in a startup / EdTech / consumer-tech / SaaS environment preferred.

- Strong exposure to fundraising, investor relations, and due diligence.

- In-depth knowledge of FEMA, GST, Income Tax, ROC filings, and regulatory compliances.

- Proven track record in financial strategy, governance, and leadership.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
