We are looking for a strategic, hands-on CFO to partner with the Founder and leadership team in scaling a high-growth, digital-first business. This role goes far beyond complianceyou will be the financial architect of growth, balancing scale, profitability, and capital efficiency.

You will own everything from unit economics and cash flow management to fundraising, investor communication, and governance, while building finance as a strong business-enabling function.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Business Partnership:

- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO in shaping growth, pricing, and expansion decisions

- Own and refine unit economics across acquisition, fulfillment, retention, and margins

- Build long-range financial models aligned to business and GTM strategy

- Drive the transition from growth-at-all-costs to sustainable, profitable scale

2. E-commerce & Digital Finance:

- Deep ownership of e-commerce P&L, including CAC, LTV, contribution margins, and cohort analysis

- Partner closely with marketing, supply chain, and category teams on budgeting and ROI

- Track marketplace economics (Amazon, Flipkart, quick commerce, D2C channels)

- Drive pricing, discounting, and promotion governance

3. Cash Flow, Controls & Compliance:

- Manage cash flow, working capital, and vendor payment cycles in a high-velocity environment

- Strengthen financial controls, audit readiness, and statutory compliance

- Oversee taxation, GST, transfer pricing (if applicable), and regulatory reporting

- Build scalable processes suitable for rapid growth and multi-channel operations

4. Fundraising, Investors & Governance:

- Lead fundraising processesVC/PE, debt, or structured capital

- Own investor reporting, board decks, and performance narratives

- Act as the primary finance interface for investors, bankers, and auditors

- Prepare the company for future outcomes (IPO / strategic sale / secondary exits)

5. Team, Systems & Scale:

- Build and mentor a high-caliber finance team across FP&A, accounting, and compliance

- Drive ERP, BI, and finance tech implementation to enable real-time insights

- Embed a data-driven, ownership-led finance culture across the organization

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 12 to 18+ years of experience in finance leadership roles

- Strong background in e-commerce, D2C, consumer tech, or marketplaces

- Hands-on experience with high-growth, venture-backed companies

- Deep understanding of unit economics, CAC/LTV, working capital, and margin structures

- Experience in fundraising and investor management

- CA / MBA (Finance) preferred
