Chief Financial Officer & Compliance Officer - NGO

Required CA candidates with minimum 10 yrs of post qualification

Job Description:

- Lead overall financial strategy, governance, and compliance, acting as a key advisor to the CEO on financial sustainability and risk management.

- Oversee budgeting (~- 25 Cr), financial planning, MIS, and Board-level reporting to support strategic decision-making.

- Manage donor funds, grant accounting, and program-wise financial tracking, ensuring transparency and efficient utilisation.

- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance including FCRA, Income Tax (12A/80G), CSR, GST, PF, ESI, and related frameworks.

- Drive internal controls, audit processes (statutory, donor, FCRA), and enterprise risk management systems.

- Strengthen financial systems, SOPs, and governance frameworks to ensure audit readiness and scalability.

- Support fundraising through financial inputs, due diligence, and engagement with CSR and institutional partners.

- Lead and mentor the finance team, building a culture of accountability and financial discipline.

Job Requirements:

- 10-15+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with exposure to NGO/CSR/development sector preferred.

- Strong experience managing - 20+ Cr budgets, donor-funded programs, and financial reporting.

- Deep expertise in FCRA, statutory compliance, audits, and regulatory frameworks in India.

- Strong capabilities in financial planning, MIS, internal controls, and risk management.

- Experience in Board reporting and stakeholder management with donors, auditors, and leadership.

- High integrity, strong communication skills, and ability to balance compliance with operational needs.
