Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Industry: Rice Trading / Agri-Commodities

Role Overview:

The CFO will lead the financial strategy and operations of the rice trading business, ensuring compliance, profitability, and sustainable growth. This role requires expertise in commodity trading, international finance, and risk management, with a strong focus on optimizing cash flow and supporting global trade activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Risk & Compliance:

- Manage risks related to commodity pricing, currency fluctuations, and trade finance.

- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and trade laws.

Operational Finance:

- Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts, treasury, and payroll.

- Monitor working capital, cash flow, and credit facilities to support trading activities.

Stakeholder Management:

- Liaise with banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

- Provide financial insights to the Board and senior management for decision-making.

Performance & Growth:

- Drive cost optimization and profitability initiatives.

- Support expansion into new markets and evaluate investment opportunities.

Desired Profile:

- 12 to 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in agri commodities or trading.

- Strong knowledge of international trade finance, hedging, and supply chain economics.

- Expertise in ERP/financial systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced analytics.

- Chartered Accountant (CA)

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
