Chief Financial Officer - CA - NGO

Key Responsibilities:

- 8-10 years of Experience with a NGO is a must

- Experience in handling grants, donor funding, and compliance (FCRA, CSR, etc.)

- Must be a CA

Others:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the NGOs mission and long-term goals

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

- Advise the CEO/Board on financial risks and opportunities

2. Financial Management & Reporting:

- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements

- Present monthly/quarterly financial reports to leadership and board

3. Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Income Tax, FCRA (if applicable), and other regulatory frameworks

- Manage internal and external audits

- Strengthen internal controls and financial policies

4. Donor & Grant Management:

- Oversee financial management of grants and donor funds

- Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements

- Work closely with program teams for budget utilization and reporting

5. Cash Flow & Fund Management:

- Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal utilization of funds

- Manage banking relationships and investments (if any)

- Ensure financial sustainability and risk mitigation

6. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the finance team

- Build capacity for financial management across departments

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory

- 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably in NGOs, development sector, or social enterprises

- Strong knowledge of NGO compliance (FCRA, CSR funding, grants, etc.)

- Experience in donor reporting (international donors preferred)

- Proven leadership and team management skills
