Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Summary
The CFO will oversee Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Regulatory Reporting, Internal Controls, and Investor & Lender Relations while ensuring compliance with RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in supporting business growth through robust financial planning, risk management, capital optimization, governance, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Business Planning
- Develop and execute the Group's financial strategy aligned with the organization's vision, business objectives, and long-term growth plans.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning across all Group entities.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the Board and Executive Management to support strategic decisions.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, acquisitions, and capital allocation initiatives.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Ensure timely preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards (Ind AS/AS) and statutory requirements.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to the Board, shareholders, lenders, and regulators.
- Oversee financial closing processes and maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Ensure implementation of robust accounting policies and financial controls.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, FEMA, and other applicable laws.
- Oversee timely filing of statutory returns and regulatory reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial governance and corporate policies.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, RBI inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Develop and strengthen enterprise-wide financial risk management frameworks.
- Monitor credit, liquidity, operational, market, and compliance risks from a financial perspective.
- Establish effective internal financial controls and governance mechanisms.
- Ensure implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
Budgeting & Performance Management
- Lead the annual budgeting process across business verticals.
- Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.
- Develop financial KPIs and dashboards to support management reviews.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of Experience in an NBFC, Housing Finance Company, or such Financial Institution, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of RBI regulations governing NBFCs.
- Experience in treasury, fund raising, financial planning, regulatory reporting, and Board governance.
