Role: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Delhi

Reporting To: Board of Directors and Managing Director

Qualifications & Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA)

- 15+ years of senior financial leadership experience.

- Experience in multi-entity and international organisations.

Position Overview:

The CFO will be a core member of the leadership team, driving strategic financial direction, cost optimisation, and profitability across group operations. The role will also serve as the primary financial and commercial interface with the Board, investors, auditors, regulators, banking partners, vendors, and other key stakeholders.

The role envisages team lead of 10 professional members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Leadership & Governance

- Lead accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance across all group entities.

- Ensure timely financial closures and strengthen internal control frameworks.

- Establish standardised SOPs across festivals and subsidiaries, including vendor empanelment, annual rate contracts, and structured procurement processes.

- Conduct periodic control reviews and strengthen on-ground financial checks during festival operations for cost optimisation.

- Oversee statutory audits and regulatory compliance in India and overseas.

2. Commercial Leadership & Cost Optimisation

- Lead vendor negotiations and commercial discussions to optimise costs and improve margins.

- Implement structured procurement and cost governance frameworks.

- Monitor profitability and cost efficiencies across festivals and business verticals.

3. Board, Investor & Stakeholder Interface

- Lead MIS reporting, rolling forecasts, and performance analytics.

- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly Board packs and financial updates.

- Provide proactive insights on performance, risks, and outlook to support strategic decision-making.

- Serve as the central liaison with CS for investors and facilitate timely communication and follow-up.

4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Discipline

- Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting aligned with business plans.

- Monitor festival-wise revenue, cost controls, and margin performance.

- Conduct structured monthly reviews and variance analysis across business units.

- Establish KPI dashboards and performance monitoring frameworks.

5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

- Own working capital management and cash flow planning aligned with festival cycles.

- Manage banking relationships and optimise deployment of surplus funds.

6. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

- Oversee direct and indirect tax matters including GST and cross-border compliance.

- Manage regulatory filings, notices, and RBI-related matters.

- Coordinate with tax and legal advisors to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

- Undertake all enquiries and appearances as may be needed from time to time with appropriate tax authorities in different cities and countries

7. Multi-Country & Subsidiary Oversight

- Supervise accounting, audits, and compliance for international subsidiaries.

- Support group structuring, consolidation, and statutory profitability optimisation.

8. Strategic & Corporate Finance

- Lead evaluation of new festivals, partnerships, and expansion initiatives using structured ROI and ROCE frameworks.

- Support investments, divestments, restructuring, and capital allocation decisions.

- Lead valuation roadmap, due diligence, financial modelling, etc.

9. Contract & Commercial Governance

- Oversee financial and commercial aspects of client and vendor agreements.

- Establish centralised contract management, data rooms, and documentation frameworks.

- Ensure commercial safeguards and risk management in agreements.
