We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Group CFO to join the leadership team of a high-growth, tech-enabled business. The role is pivotal in scaling finance operations, strengthening governance, and preparing the organization for public markets. The ideal candidate is a first-attempt CA with a strong e-commerce background, capable of blending strategic thinking with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive financial strategy and long-term planning
- Lead corporate development, fundraising (equity and debt), and capital structuring decisions
- Provide actionable financial insights to support expansion, new initiatives, and investor expectations
IPO Readiness & Governance
- Spearhead the transformation of finance operations and reporting to meet public market standards
- Drive implementation of robust internal controls, financial governance, and compliance processes
- Prepare the company for IPO-readiness including audit rigor, disclosures, investor relations setup, and SEBI/IFRS readiness
Controllership & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of books, consolidation across entities, and statutory compliance
- Own end-to-end controllership including audits, tax, legal, treasury, and secretarial functions
- Lead cross-border and multi-entity reporting structures with appropriate risk controls
Business Finance & Operational Excellence
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and performance tracking across business lines
- Drive efficiency in cost structures, cash flow management, and working capital optimization
- Own dashboards, financial KPIs, and investor reporting
Team Leadership & Systems Enablement
- Build and mentor a strong finance team across verticalsbusiness finance, controllership, legal, and procurement
- Oversee ERP/systems implementation, financial automation, and data integrity initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (First Attempt) mandatory
- 1015 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles in e-commerce or internet companies
- Demonstrated success in scaling finance functions in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong grasp of e-commerce business models, revenue recognition, unit economics, and marketplace dynamics
- Experience in managing investors, preparing for capital markets, and navigating regulatory complexity
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
