Job Description - Chief Financial Officer Position The chief financial officer (CFO) will drive financial policies control operations and direction while also being an active participant in the organization's overall strategy. The CFO will lead all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the Board of Directors and other head of departments on driving key decisions and discussions. Financial and Operational Management - Oversee budgeting, and the implementation of budgets, so as to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally. - Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and monitor the use of all funds and treasury operations - Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for internal reporting, MIS for Board of Directors and Auditors - Coordinate all audit activities and fund raising Strategy - Partner with the HODs on all related operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost benefit analysis, statutory and legal basis - Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team, including the fund raising strategy. - Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with strategic plan. - Engage the operations and control team to align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projections. - Engage the board of directors around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model and operational delivery. Statutory, Legal and Compliance - Ensure strict conformity to the applicable Laws of the Land for all businesses activities - Be the legal controller of the company and manage associated risks through policies and processes, the legal team would report to the CFO - Ensure good internal control policies and processes are developed and implemented across all business processes, especially the core Company products. - Ensure the company is fully discharging its duties towards all applicable compliances, build a quick view and develop deep understanding of the regulatory landscape to ensure full compliance and device strategy to ensure fully compliant methods for new business requirements. Experience &amp; Qualifications: - MBA Finance from a top-tier college and a Chartered Accountant with at least 10- 12 years of relevant experience - Direct experience of financial controller function and strong FP&amp;A exposure and managed responsibility of meeting all compliances - Worked in CFO/ Head of Finance role, or next to CFO/ Head of finance in a decision making role of an NBFC. - Have managed a team of at least 5 direct report - Experience of working with Big4 Auditors - Have a good understanding of the regulatory bodies and structuring problems (we will be talking about this specifically) - A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. A team player, a hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, merit - oriented environment and an effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills. - Willingness to re-locate to Bangalore
