About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organizations financial function and support long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving financial strategy, managing investor relations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling operational excellence across the organization.
This role requires a strong finance leader with proven expertise in fundraising, financial planning, stakeholder management, and business partnering, preferably within the Higher Education or EdTech sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the companys overall financial strategy, planning, and governance framework.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial performance analysis.
- Drive fundraising initiatives including debt, equity, and investor engagement activities.
- Manage investor relations and support board-level financial presentations and reporting.
- Lead financial due diligence processes for investments, partnerships, acquisitions, or strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, tax, and audit requirements.
- Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and risk management practices.
- Partner with business leaders to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation to ensure financial sustainability.
- Build and mentor high-performing finance and accounting teams.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, legal advisors, and investors.
- Support organizational expansion plans through financial modeling and business planning.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1218 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in fundraising, investor relations, and financial due diligence.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, compliance, and strategic finance.
- Prior experience in the Higher Education or EdTech industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, taxation, audits, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
