Role Description - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are looking for a transformational CFO to lead the financial strategy of a leading retail gems and jewellery organization and its subsidiaries. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a seasoned professional with strong experience in listed environments, IPO readiness, governance, and large-scale retail expansion. As a key member of the executive team and advisor to the Board, you will drive financial transformation, strengthen compliance, and enable sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Board Leadership:

- Act as a strategic advisor to the Board and Promoters, providing data-driven insights for long-term growth.

- Lead IPO readiness and manage relationships with merchant bankers, investors, and regulators.

- Oversee investor relations and ensure transparent financial communication.

Financial Strategy & Operations:

- Manage bullion financing, Gold Metal Loans (GML), and hedging strategies.

- Develop financial models to support rapid retail expansion with strong ROI.

- Drive cost optimization and strengthen supply chain margins.

Governance & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with listed company regulations (SEBI, LODR, etc.).

- Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting standards.

- Proactively manage financial and macroeconomic risks.

Leadership & Transformation:

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.

- Lead the transition from a privately held structure to a disciplined, governance-led organization.

Ideal Profile:

- 10+ years of stable leadership tenure with proven transformation experience.

- Strong exposure to IPO, public markets, and Board-level interactions.

- High integrity, resilience, and ability to operate in a fast-paced retail environment (6-day work week).
