Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Bangalore
Reporting To: Managing Director
Experience Required: 10+ years in Finance, including minimum 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic financial leader to oversee and drive our financial operations, corporate finance initiatives, and long-term business planning. The CFO will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial discipline, supporting business expansion, and advising the leadership team on financial and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Operations:
- Lead and manage all core financial functions including accounting, budgeting, treasury, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting as per regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital efficiency, and overall financial health.
- Drive efficiency in billing, receivables management, and client collection processes.
- Oversee preparation and submission of tax documentation (GST, Income Tax, etc.).
- Ensure accurate and compliant financial documentation for ISO and other regulatory certifications.
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead annual and multi-year budget planning; support MD in strategic financial direction.
- Develop forward-looking financial strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Conduct analysis, forecasting, investor-grade financial modelling, and scenario planning.
- Track market trends (including NSE insights) to assess risks and opportunities.
- Support evaluation of investment opportunities, business expansions, and capital structuring.
Corporate Finance & Investor Relations:
- Manage fundraising (debt/equity), banking relationships, and investor communication.
- Lead M&A, due diligence, and capital allocation initiatives.
- Negotiate financing agreements, commercial contracts, and strategic partnerships.
Revenue & Cost Management:
- Partner with business units to ensure timely invoicing and revenue assurance.
- Review customer contracts for tax implications and profitability.
- Implement strong cost controls, budget adherence, and fund utilization monitoring.
- Support planning for compensation increments, bonuses, and operational expenditures.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance team of 67 professionals.
- Define KPIs, monitor performance, and build a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Hire and develop finance talent in alignment with organizational growth.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.
- Establish internal financial controls and ensure protection of company assets.
- Oversee internal/external audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Develop frameworks for secure storage, movement, and protection of financial assets.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, taxation, financial laws, and governance standards.
- Advanced proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and financial modelling.
- Demonstrated experience in equity/debt fundraising, banking, and investor engagement.
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business, HR, admin, and operations teams.
- High integrity, strategic thinking, and Board-facing capabilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience in SAP implementation or working in SAP-enabled environments.
- Proven experience in leading finance transformation initiatives and process automation.
