Job title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Senior Manager, Finance

(Designation of CFO or Senior Manager will depend on the experience of the candidate)

Location: Bengaluru, In-office

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Ensure meeting of all monthly, quarterly and annual compliance deadlines for a private limited company, with accuracy, by overseeing and supporting the external finance team, and coordinating with other stakeholders as needed (auditors, Company Secretary, Board members, etc.

- Oversee accounting by the external finance team and regularly review the books to ensure correctness.

- Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments by overseeing and supporting the external finance team and the 1-2 internal team members.

- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing by overseeing and supporting the external team.

- Maintain all contracts of the company in an updated manner.

- Regularly prepare and present MIS and financial reports to founders and as needed Board/investors.

- Partner with functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.) to track ROI / unit economics and optimize spend; drive cost efficiency while pushing for growth.

- Regularly review and enhance systems and processes for all of the above (we believe in operating in a fully tech-enabled manner and expect that from all our leaders).

- Develop/maintain strong banking and other relationships needed for the finance function.

- Support the founders on future investment raises and due diligences.

What we are looking for:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; open to CPA, CFA or MBA Finance.

- 10 - 15 years of financial leadership experience.

- At least 3 - 5 years in a start-up or high-growth environment, preferably in a digital-first business.

- Strong ability and willingness to be very hands-on in getting things done, along with experience in building systems for growth.

- Deep understanding of accounting and regularly updated knowledge of compliance requirements.

- Strong comfort with basic tech tools; experience with Zoho Books is a plus.

- Strong analytical skills and good communication.

- Full integrity in all internal and external activities
