Job Description: Chief Financial Officer
Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support business objectives and long-term growth.
- Ensure the preparation of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, and tax returns.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess sales performance, profit margins, and budgetary compliance, making adjustments as needed.
- Lead the company's financial planning efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational & Risk Management:
- Evaluate and refine financial controls, accounting procedures, and internal processes to optimize efficiency.
- Identify areas for cost reduction, restructuring, or process improvements to enhance profitability.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and all relevant financial regulations, policies, and corporate governance standards.
- Maintain strong oversight of cash flow, investments, and risk management strategies.
Stakeholder & Investment Management:
- Work closely with private equity (PE) firms and key investors to strengthen financial partnerships and secure funding for expansion.
- Engage with investment bankers and financial institutions to raise additional capital as needed.
- Collaborate with business unit (BU) heads to monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Supervise and guide the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
- Foster a high-performance finance team, driving efficiency and professional growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (MBA preferred).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred.
- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in financial management, with a strong track record in leadership roles.
- Expertise in accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) management.
- Experience in working with private equity (PE) firms and investment management.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and financial compliance standards.
