CFO Role: Focused on Financial reporting, managing independent directors, handling external Auditors

Role Overview:

The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company strategy and driving the organization's financial planning and performance. The CFO will be expected to provide sound financial advice to the CEO and the Board, ensure compliance and risk management, and support key decision-making through robust financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning:

- Partner with the CEO in developing and executing the company's strategic plan.

- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.

- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, business development, and new initiatives.

Financial Management & Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, taxation, and investor relations.

- Manage liquidity, cash flow, banking relationships, and capital structure.

- Ensure cost optimization and efficiency across the organization.

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure full compliance with statutory laws, regulations, and internal policies.

- Lead audits, internal controls, and governance initiatives.

- Proactively identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Investor Relations & Fundraising:

- Maintain relationships with investors, analysts, banks, and financial institutions.

- Lead fundraising efforts (debt/equity) and capital allocation decisions.

- Manage financial communications and shareholder value creation strategies.

Team Leadership:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.

- Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Attributes:

- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

- Proven experience in managing financial operations at scale.

- Expertise in fundraising, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and corporate finance.

- Deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.

- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Background:

- Prior experience as CFO or in senior finance leadership roles.

- Exposure to board reporting and investor presentations.

- Familiarity with ERP systems and digital finance tools.
