Role Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, deep financial expertise, and the ability to align financial management with long-term organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short-term and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive the company's overall strategy and vision.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Deliver timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of balance sheets to ensure strong financial discipline and reporting accuracy.
Investment, Capex & Risk Management:
- Lead financial, investment, and capital expenditure decision-making with comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Optimize capital allocation for growth and sustainability.
Fundraising & Capital Structuring:
- Ensure short-term and long-term fund requirements are met through a cost-effective equity and debt mix.
- Drive fundraising efforts including liaising with banks, financial institutions, and private equity stakeholders.
Controls, Compliance & Due Diligence:
- Implement and maintain a robust system of financial controls, governance, and due diligence.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements, tax laws, and statutory compliance.
Performance Monitoring & KPI Management:
- Develop and implement performance measurement systems aligned with strategic business goals.
- Monitor key KPIs and financial health indicators for effective decision-making.
Investor Relations (IR):
- Build and manage relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Lead investor communication, reporting, and corporate disclosures to ensure transparency and trust.
Digital Transformation & ERP Implementation:
- Lead and drive digitization initiatives in the finance domain including ERP/SAP system implementation or upgrades.
- Champion automation and process optimization across finance and accounting functions.
Requirements & Competencies:
Education:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (e.g., CPA, MBA in Finance).
Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance with a proven track record as CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
- Strong exposure to IR and capital markets is a must.
- Experience in handling large-scale ERP or SAP implementation preferred.
