Financial Strategy & Leadership:

- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the Board of Directors.

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities.

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management.

- Review financial performance of various businesses and suggest appropriate actions to improve return on investment.

Compliance Management:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.

- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings.

Mergers and Acquisitions:

- Lead financial due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

- Evaluate potential opportunities and provide financial analysis and recommendations.

- Develop integration plans and oversee post-merger financial activities to maximize value.

Fundraising:

- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support business growth and expansion.

- Identify potential sources of funding, including debt, equity, and alternative financing options.

- Negotiate terms and agreements with lenders, investors, and other financial partners.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

- Present financial performance and insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Strategic Planning:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for the organisation.

- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support decision making.

- Support business growth initiatives through financial modelling and scenario planning.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

- Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies.

Capital Management:

- Manage capital structure, including debt and equity financing.

- Optimize capital allocation to support business growth while minimizing risk and cost of capital.

Investor Relations:

- Serve as the primary liaison with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.

- Communicate financial performance, business strategy, and future outlook to external stakeholders.

Leadership and Team Development:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.

- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.

Competence:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with rank holder status.

- Master's/MBA degree in Finance.

- International Finance degree - preferred but not mandatory.

- 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance and around 5 years in leadership roles.

- Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence and integration.

- Financial Acumen & Strategic Thinking.

- Leadership & Management Skills.

- Excellent communication & Analytical skills.

- Stakeholder management.
